Prayer at Woodmen

...praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints... Ephesians 6:18

WEEK OF PRAYER

God’s people are no strangers to the wilderness. From Jacob to Moses to John the Baptist, to Christ Himself, we see God’s faithfulness on display as the Lord’s people navigate uncharted, desolate places. As we begin this ministry year together with a week of prayer, let us look to the God who is ever-present, let us find hope in the One who makes a way in the desert.

MONDAY: Glory to God
Give praise to our Father for His unchanging goodness and sustaining power. Give glory to Christ for His life, poured out for us. Give thanks to the Spirit for indwelling in us and guiding us to live lives of love.

TUESDAY: Deeper Faith
Invite the Spirit to set our hearts ablaze, to deepen our trust in the Lord. Pray that we would be hungry for more of God and become more like Him each day.

WEDNESDAY: Unity in Christ
Ask the Lord to unite His people for the sake of the gospel. From our Woodmen family to churches across our city and our nation, let us set aside divisions to unite under the banner of Christ.

THURSDAY: Hope in Christ
Ask God how you can be part of His salvation plan in our city. Ask for relationships with people who need Jesus and for opportunities share your faith and invite others to church.

FRIDAY: For the Hurting
The pandemic continues to wreak havoc. Ask our God, the giver of life and breath, to comfort those who mourn today. Ask the Lord to restore health and wholeness to those who are suffering.

SATURDAY: The Nations
In every corner of the world people are facing hardship and despair. Ask God to pour out His mercy on those in harm’s way. Pray that His borderless light would shine brightest in the darkest places.

Prayer works. We’ve seen it in our lives. We believe the God of the Bible wants to hear from us and wants us to hear from Him. He created us for relationship with Him, and Jesus died to bring us back into harmony with the Father.

We have teams of people who are committed to praying over Woodmen and the needs of others in our faith community.
